This week on Baxie’s Musical Podcast I’ll speak with legendary guitarist Stephen Egerton from The Descendents! This was an interview that I had been pursuing for years. And it completely exceeded my expectations. Stephen has spent the last 40 years playing with the band that single handedly invented the entire Pop Punk genre. With classic albums like Milo Goes to College, All, and Everything Sux the Descendents have become one of the most enduring and highly respected bands in America (with one of the greatest back stories of all time). Stephen talks about the band, the life-or-death comeback of drummer Bill Stevenson, lead singer Milo Aukerman’s commitments to science, and all about lessons learned while in the band ALL! top of that we talk about his upcoming solo album “I Think You’re Overthinking This” which comes out on September 11 (recorded in part at Abby Road studios).
