He’s repeatedly been listed as one of the all-time greats by the NME, The LA Weekly, and Bass Player Magazine (who awarded him their lifetime achievement award in 2008.) Watt has played with The Stooges, fIREHOSE, members of Sonic Youth, Eddie Vedder, Krist Novoselic and Dave Grohl from Nirvana, Flea, the Beastie Boys, Jane’s Addiction, and literally dozens and dozens more.
