A TV mini-series about the life of baseball great Ted Williams is in the works.

The late American sports star will be getting the small screen treatment in an as-yet-untitled show which will be adapted from author Ben Bradlee Jr.’s book, “The Kid: The Immortal Life of Ted Williams.”

It will focus on the two time MVP (Most Valuable Player) as he played for the Boston Red Sox, his long rivalry with the New York Yankees and its star player Joe DiMaggio, and his troubled upbringing.

The mini-series will also recall Williams’ time in the military, as he twice put a halt on his baseball career to serve as a flight instructor in World War II and fighter pilot in the Korean War.
