Queen guitarist Brian May has been diagnosed with torn spinal discs after undergoing a scan at a London hospital on Monday.

The rock icon has been struggling to recover from knee surgery in August, and he has also been suffering agonizing pain in his buttock muscles since a performance at a Las Vegas music festival in September that left him struggling to walk.

After having a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan on his back, May has now discovered he is suffering from a painful spinal injury.

In a post on his account on Wednesday, the guitarist wrote, “My MRI says I have two torn discs, pressing on a nerve. Well, at least I know I wasn’t imagining the pain now ! Bri thanks for yr (your) concern.”
